Q: Do you offer custom wood signs?
Yes! Custom wood signs are available and are a specialty at A Note of Grace. Each custom piece is made-to-order based on your specific design, size, and finish preferences.
Custom Order Process:
Contact & Consultation: Reach out with your custom design ideas, preferred size, and any specific details you'd like included.
Quote & Payment: Once the design details are confirmed, you'll receive a quote. Full payment is required before work begins on your custom piece.
Design Approval: A design mockup or proof will be provided for your review and approval. No work will begin until you approve the final design.
Creation: After approval, please allow 3-4 weeks for creation, plus shipping time. Custom pieces receive extra attention to ensure every detail matches your vision.
Final Product: Your one-of-a-kind custom sign will be carefully packaged and shipped to you!
Please note: Custom orders are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, as they are created specifically for you.
Q: What types of wood do you use?
All wood signs at A Note of Grace are crafted from select grade pinewood boards. Select grade pine is carefully chosen for its quality, featuring minimal knots and a smooth, consistent grain that's perfect for creating beautiful, long-lasting signs.
Pine is an excellent choice for wood signs because it's lightweight yet durable, takes stain and paint beautifully, and showcases that warm, natural wood character that's perfect for rustic farmhouse décor. Each board is hand-selected to ensure your sign has the best possible foundation for quality craftsmanship.
Q: How long does it take to make a sign?
- Ready to Ship items: Ships within 2-3 business days
- Made-to-Order items: Please allow 2-3 weeks for creation, plus shipping time. Each sign is handcrafted with care, and quality is never rushed!
Shipping Policy
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location within Canada. We currently ship within Canada only.
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 2–5 business days (please note made-to-order pieces require additional production time as noted above). Once shipped, delivery generally takes 5–10 business days depending on your province.
Where available, tracking information will be emailed to you once your order ships. We strive to keep our rates as reasonable as possible while ensuring your order arrives safely.
Return & Exchange Policy
Every piece that leaves my workshop has passed my own personal quality standard — if I wouldn’t display it in my own home or sell it at market, it doesn’t ship. Because of this commitment to quality, all sales are final and I do not accept returns or exchanges.
Damaged in transit? While I take great care in packaging every order, damage during shipping is outside of my control. If your order arrives damaged, please contact me within 3 days of delivery with a photo of the damage and the packaging, and I will do my best to make it right. Extenuating circumstances will always be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Care Instructions
To keep your A Note of Grace sign looking beautiful for years to come, we recommend the following:
- Cleaning: Wipe occasionally with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
- Finish: All signs are sealed with a professional-grade, satin, non-yellowing, eco-friendly clear coat that is Green Wise Certified and ultra low VOC. It provides excellent durability and makes cleaning a breeze.
- Indoor & Outdoor Use: The clear coat is suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects. However, as each sign is handcrafted from wood, we personally recommend that any sign kept outdoors be placed in a protected area such as a covered porch or sheltered space. Extended exposure to the elements has not been tested and is at the owner's discretion.
